Artistic Journey

​

The California based mixed media artist Iben Vestergaard, has deep roots in Scandinavian art and design traditions, and a strong influence from Neo-expressionism.

 

Her work explores the delicate balance between human fragility and resilience. By allowing serenity and tension to coexist while preserving the raw energy of a sketch, Vestergaard creates space for reflection, and invite the viewers to connect with their own strengths and vulnerabilities.

Vestergaard has exhibited regularly since 2007, primarily in California, as well as in the UK and Denmark. She is currently represented by 10 West Gallery, Santa Barbara, CA.
